The beauty of food trucks is their obvious mobility and tendency to spontaneously show up at a festival, community event, outside your office, or in the lively downtown area with lots of foot traffic. However, this ever-moving quality makes it difficult to keep track of the food truck scene. So we decided to chase down a few of our favorites to compile them in one convenient list. We have entered prime food truck season after all!

Deet’s BBQ is crushing it in the barbeque scene. Either at their restaurant in Maumee or their restaurant on wheels, you can expect exceptional cuisine smothered in barbeque sauce. Try their St. Louis-Style Ribs or their Sweet n’ Smokey Wings!

Grumpy’s
is a great place to grab a burger in town, but their menu covers a variety of subjects — like soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, breakfast items and desserts. And even better yet, they have a mobile version of their restaurant as well!

Kyf’s Curbside Bistro, serving up cheeseburgers, corn beef sandwiches, palermos, and a number of other sandwiches with homemade chips from their iconic bright green truck! Each menu option requires the use of two hands and lots of napkins, which is a sure sign of satisfaction.

Rusty’s Road Trip delivers local delicacy straight from the source, specializing in Lake Erie Yellow Perch — smothered in a homemade batter, deep fried in peanut oil, and served with their homemade tartar sauce. A visit to their truck is one of the best and most convenient ways to taste local cuisine unique to this region.

Taco Truck serves tacos from a truck. But they don’t stop there! Choose from their authentic Mexican food choices, including burritos, quesadillas, tostadas, tamales and more! You can find them parked at 708 Broadway Street every Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.!
